Eulaine (Eanie) F. ( Hancock) Pretzer age 82 of Breckenridge died June 25, 2010. The daughter of the late Billie B. and Hassel (Herren) Hancock was born on June 30, 1927 in Corunna, MI. Eulaine graduated from Midland High School in 1945 and married William (Pat) C. Pretzer on July 4, 1945. Eulaine was the secretary for the superintendant of the Midland Public Schools for 24 years, retiring in 1988. She enjoyed her monthly dinners with "the bowling girls who don't bowl anymore," her Friday morning breakfast with her retired friends along with canning, crocheting, and reading. She cherished her time with family and friends, especially her dear friend Betty Stamas.
Eulaine is survived by her husband of 65 years William Pretzer, also surviving are her sister Virginia (Charles) Phillips, brother-in-law-Clarence Phillips and Aunt Elza Mae Hancock all of Midland along with several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two children: son Timothy B. (Deceased) and
(Cheryl) Pretzer of St Louis and daughter Lois (Buck) Young of Breckenridge; three grandsons William "B.J." (Misty) Pretzer, Christopher (Danielle) Young and Jason, Jessica Young; great grandchildren Taylor, Katilyn, Bethany, Sarah, Christopher, Makayla, Paige, Chase, Ashley and Hanna. She was preceded in death by her sisters Stella Hancock, Helen Phillips, her favorite Uncle Clyde Hancock and brother-in-law Theodore Pretzer.
Funeral service for Eulaine will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from the Wheeler Rd Church of Christ, 1123 E. Wheeler Rd. with Mr. Mike Lupanoff officiating. Interment will be in Porter Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
