Erwin C. Marker

Erwin C. Marker, age 90 of Sanford died Friday June 24, 2011 at his residence. The son of the late Ray and Ticie (Sternhagen) Marker was born November 21, 1920 in Saginaw. On June 22, 1944 he married the former Charlotte Thompson and she predeceased him on January 14, 1998. Erwin worked as a dispatcher for the Nickodemus Oil Co. in Saginaw, retiring in 1979 after 29 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, tinkering, Sudoku and helping people with building projects.

Erwin is survived by sons: Erwin (Marcia) Marker of Niles and Michael (Paula) Marker of Sanford. He is also survived by grandchildren Matthew, Bradley, Emily, Caleb, great grand children Kori, Christen, Lillian, Brianna and a brother Russell (Jackie) Marker. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Marker.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 PM Monday June 27, 2011 from the Edenville United Methodist Church with Pastor Patrick Poag officiating. Interment will be in New Edenville Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 7 PM and at the church on Monday from 12:30 until time of service. Memorials may be offered to Mid Michigan Home Health Care.
