Erma L. Riggie

Erma L. Riggie, age 86 of Midland, died Tuesday January 19, 2016 at Country Square Adult Foster Care Home in Auburn The daughter of the late Clifford and Ethel (Wray) Babcock was born in Midland on August 6, 1929 where she was raised and educated. Erma was a member of Gordonville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, word search and going to grandchildren's sporting events, Jazzercise and walking. On September 17, 1948 Erma married Donald Riggie and after 53 years of marriage he died on November 3, 2001.

Surviving are her daughters, Gilda (Lonnie) Laubscher of Midland, Dena (Moe) Vaziri of Columbia Maryland, June (Kirt Jurn) Johnson of Midland; son in law, Mitch Mudd of Midland; grandchildren, Benjamin, Joseph & Daniel Laubscher, Harmony Johnson, Andrew, Christopher Varizi, Josh & Nathan Mudd; great grandchildren, Kylee, Alyssa, Sylas, Liam, Janel, Jaxon, Tanner, Bryn Marie, Mason, Camron, Caden, Tyler, Desmond and soon to arrive baby girl Vaziri; sister, Ginger (Robert) Krueger of Midland; sister in law, Carolyn Babcock of Midland. In addition to her husband, Erma was preceded in death by her daughter, Darla Mudd; grandson, Tyler Johnson; brother, Jack Babcock.

Per the wishes of Erma cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 23, 2016 at Gordonville United Methodist Church. Rev. Josh Blanchard and Rev. Kayla Roosa will officiate. Memorials may be offered to Gordonville United Methodist Church or McLaren Hospice and Home Care. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
