Eric C. Williams

Eric C. Williams, age 66 of Sanford, died Tuesday morning, February 9, 2010 at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw. The son of the late Frank and Genevieve (Stasivlewicz) Williams was born in Midland on January 15, 1944 where he was raised and educated graduating from Midland High School. Eric then went on to the University of Michigan where he received a Bachelors Degree graduating in 1962. He was employed as a Chemical Engineer with The Dow Chemical Co. until retiring in 1995 after 30 years of service. Eric was involved in the start up many production plants around the world including plants in Korea and Finland. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of the U of M Alumni, enjoyed reading and had a wonderful sense of humor. On August 7, 2004 in Midland Eric married the former Violet Susan Parks whom he loved dearly.

Surviving are his wife Susan Williams; son, Richard F. Sherman of Portland, Oregon; daughters, Jody Goleman and Julie (Lauren) Groether all of Denver Colorado. Eric was preceded in death by his sister, Carol A. Williams.
