Emma N. Watkins

Emma N. Watkins, age 92 of Midland, went to be with her Lord on Sunday evening October 23, 2016 at her sons home in Beaverton. The daughter of the late Wiley D. and Mary H. (Allgiere) Pickens was born in Findley, Ohio on June 12, 1924. On December 23, 1941 Emma married John M. Watkins and they were married for 59 years until his death in 2000. Together they attended Calvary Apostolic Church in Midland and later Floyd Church of God. After John's death she then attended Mt. Haley Church of God. Emma enjoyed going to church and reading her Bible, fishing and hunting with her beloved husband, sewing and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed being with her children and especially loved little children. In her younger years Emma worked at the Tec Circle Apartments.

Surviving are her children of whom she loved dearly, John (Darlyn) Watkins, Jr. of Midland, Victor (Dar) Watkins, Sr. of Sanford, Eddie (Rena) Watkins of Beaverton, Mary Helen (Cliff) Braley of Hope, Jesse (Mary) Watkins of Albright Shores and Shamrock Watkins, Sr. of Beaverton; 29 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Milton Pickens; sister, Elsie Dubay; many nieces and nephews. Emma was preceded in death by daughter, Elizabeth Watkins (Butters); 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
