Emma C. "Tootie" (Dice) Wonsitler, age 90 of Midland, died Wednesday July 20, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living in Midland. The daughter of the late Pearl and Myrtle (Glass) Dice was born in Midland on October 21, 1926. She was a member of Mapleton United Methodist Church, enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and going to her cottage in Heresy, Michigan. On November 5, 1949 in Richmond, Indiana, Emma married Charles E. Wonsitler and after 65 years of marriage he died on January 13, 2014.
Surviving are her daughters, Diane Howson, Darlene Shepherd both of Midland, Sandie Burritt of Florida; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; special family members, Faith and LeRoy Woodbury. In addition to her parents and husband Emma was preceded in death by son, Dale Hauri; daughter, Shirleey Getgood LaFlure; siblings, Earl, Bill, Pearl, Frank, David, John, Margaret, Iva, Dorothy and Tiny.
Funeral and committal services will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday July 22, 2016 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Hodgeson officiating. Interment will be in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
