Eleanor E. Bacon

Eleanor E. (Schearer) Bacon Age 88 of Edenville died at her residence on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. The daughter of the late William O. and Ethel Schearer was born of July 5, 1920 in Hope, MI. On August 30, 1940 she married Mr. William J. Bacon. Eleanor worked for the Midland Hospital Center, which she very much enjoyed, also worked for Lee's Laundry and drove school bus. She retired as Head Cook from Hillside Elementary School in 1982. Eleanor and Bill spent many winters in Florida and she loved her family.

Eleanor is survived by her husband, William J. Bacon and their children, Dawn (Jerry) Lupcke of Bay City, Connie (Dennis) Rogers of Auburn, Wiliam Dennis and Chris Bacon of Edenville; grandchildren, Bill Bacon, Darren Lupcke, Mike Bacon, LeAnne Foster, Kim Gillman, Tim Lupcke and Pam Rogers; and nine great grandchildren.
Eleanor was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Enid Gorham; brothers, Weldon Schearer, William Schearer; and a grandson, Christopher Bacon.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 14, 2009 from the Edenville United Methodist Church with Pastor Patrick Poag officiating. Interment will follow in New Edenville Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Friday from 3-8 pm and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Memorials may be offered to MidMichigan Home Care (Hospice).
