Eileen M. (Allen, Kocisky) Stoops

Eileen M. (Allen, Kocisky) Stoops, age 91 of Sanford, passed away Wednesday February 24, 2021 at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn. The daughter of the late Edward R. and Emily G. (Sirrine) Allen was born in Midland on March 2, 1929 where she was raised and educated. Eileen had been employed with The Dow Chemical Company for many years. She was a member of Homer United Methodist Church, active in Circle of Love and Hands of Hope. Eileen enjoyed bowling, playing golf, knitting, crocheting and playing her organ. On July 14, 1962 in Homer United Methodist Church, Eileen married Gerald T. Stoops and after 36 years of marriage, he died on November 2, 1998.

Surviving is her son, Timothy Kocisky; step children, Don (Joanny) Stoops, Rebecca (Gary) Poindexter; step grandchildren, Jason (Emily) Stoops, Loren Stoops, Beth (Rob) Rosellit, Jon Poindexter; step great grandchildren, Iliana Rosellit, Elena, Ethan Stoops; sister, Linda (James) Taylor; sister in law, Alice Allen. In addition to her parents and husband, Eileen was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest and Edward Allen, Jr.

Funeral and committal services for Eileen will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday February 26, 2021 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Micheal Kelley officiating. Family will receive guests on Friday from 12 noon until the time of service. Interment will be in Homer Township Cemetery. Due to the state restriction, face covering and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Toni and Trish House.
