Edwin "Doc" Thomas Blakeley

Edwin "Doc" Thomas Blakeley, age 83 of Sanford, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Brittany Manor. The son of the late Edwin and Esther (Moe) Blakeley was born September 27, 1934 in Midland. On April 25, 1955 he married the former Priscilla A. Jacobs in Sanford. She preceded him in death on February 9, 2012 after nearly 57 years of marriage. Doc enjoyed playing horseshoes and was an avid Michigan fan.

He is survived by his son, Russell (Fani Buxton) Blakeley of Coleman; daughters, Kim (Tom) Bowland and Jill Larkin, both of Sanford. Also surviving are his grandchildren and step grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Doc was preceded in death by his brother Neal Blakeley.

Funeral services for Mr. Blakeley will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Steve Melchi officiating. Private burial will be in Jerome Township Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
