Edward T. Wall, age 86 of Midland, died Friday afternoon June 6, 2014 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The son of the late Charles and Alfreida (Bruning) Wall was born in Rogers City, Michigan on December 6, 1927. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Wall was employed with The Dow Chemical Co until his retirement in 1986 after 37 years of service. He was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church and its board of Trustee. Mr. Wall enjoyed playing golf, reading and fishing. After his retirement, Ed was closely involved with the West Midland Community Center, Junior Achievement and Girls Scouts, providing with their accounting practice.

Surviving is his wife of 62 years the former Evelyn Buchner whom he married on August 18, 1951 in Harrisville, Michigan; sons, Steven (Penny) Wall of Swartz Creek, Patrick (Kelli) Wall of Galesburg, Christopher (Rebecca) Wall of Troy; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Kathy) Wall of Davison; sisters, Edna Modrzynski of Roger City, Evelyn Feldt of Tawas City, Alice Dettmer of Oscoda; bother in law, Jim Stone of Detroit; sister in law, Mary Wall of Morrice , Michigan. In addition to his parents Edward was preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Roger and James Wall; sister, Patricia Stone.

A celebration of Ed life will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 10, 2014 at Memorial Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dr. Wallace H. Mayton III will officiate. Interment of his cremains will be in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 N. Saginaw Rd Midland on Monday from 4 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be offered to Food Pantry at Memorial Presbyterian Church or the West Midland Community Center.
