Edna Jean St. John

Edna Jean St. John, age 79 of Breckenridge, passed away May 1, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 18, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant to the late John A. and Mary (Harrington) Hoverman. She married Lester St. John on March 18, 1960 and they shared 63 years wonderful years together. Edna was a wonderful cook and often used her skills to bring her family together, such as their weekend cookouts. She loved anything to do with flowers and will be remembered for the love she had for her family.

Surviving is her husband, Lester; children, Michelle (Mike) Penney, Leslie "Butch" (Janet) St. John, and Julie St. John (Jim Tripp); along with more than 50 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Delmarter; son in law, Rickey J. Wittig; siblings, John W. and Grant Hoverman, and MaryAnn Stonerock.

Funeral services for Edna will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Floyd Church of God. Pastor George Stewart will officiate with burial to follow in Porter Twp Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10 am until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be offered to The Care Team hospice.
