Edna E. Michaud

Edna E. Michaud, age 93 of McKinney, Texas and former Midland resident of many years, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Medical City McKinney. The daughter of the late Alonzo M. and Agnes E. (Doerr) Simon was born April 6, 1925 in Remus, MI. On March 26, 1960, she married Lee R. Michaud. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1996 after 36 years of marriage. Edna loved doing her word search puzzles and enjoyed her spending time with her family.

Edna is survived by her sons, William (Eileen) Ackley, Russel (Sherry) Ackley, Bruce (Tami) Ackley, Michael (Kathy) Michaud; daughters, Jean Marie Michaud, Jacqueline (Larry) Thrash, Naomi (Juan Cortes) Michaud; grandchildren, Mathew (Morgan) Ackley, Michele Maxwell, Jeanna Lock, Rusty Ackley, Missy (Ken) Boardrow, Tania Ackley, Stephanie (Jon) Wren, Casey Ackley, Corrie Dondelinger, Mark (Gretha) Michaud, Stephanie (Ed) Musho, Refugio "Marty" (Jennifer) Martinez Jr., Shawn (partner Stephanie) Martinez, Tammy (Brent) Cernat, Dawn Thrash, John Cortes and Sara (James) Garcia; 30 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and brother, Raymond Simon.

In addition to her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by her daughter and son in-law, Dianna (Refugio "Marty") Martinez, daughters in-law, Joann Michaud, Kristi Ackley, Raynelda Ackley, Diane Inman; grandson, Jeremy Dondelinger; siblings and their spouses, Jerome (Martha) Simon, Paul (Lorraine) Simon, Beatrice (Elmer) Rhode, Noreen (Richard) Bradfield, Imelda (Lowell) Smith; and sister in-law, Ann Simon.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, July 13, 2018 from Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Midland with Father Joe Griffin as Celebrant. Cremation will follow and she will be interred next to her husband in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of Mass.
