Edith Mae Doil

Edith Mae (Nold) Doil, age 95 of Midland, died Monday evening July 23, 2012 at her residence. The daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Parsons) Nold was born in Midland on June 23, 1917 where she was raised and educated graduating from Midland High School in 1935 and went on to get her L.P.N. License. Edith had been employed with Midland Hospital for 28 years and also worked for Dr. Harrigan for 12 years. She volunteered with M.C.T.V. for 25 years producing many shows. Edith was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed volunteering. She was an avid traveler going many places with her good friend Alice Owens. On July 9, 1936 Edith married Harold Doil. He died on August 28, 1991.

Surviving are her children, Janice Lewis of Midland, Cris (Darlene) Doil of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, Tim Doil of Midland, Ross (Nyla) Doil of St. Louis, Missouri; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; daughter in law, Aynne Doil of Portland, Maine; her best friends and bosses from MCTV, Ron Beacon & family, Ron Brown & family. In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Doil; daughter, Janet Doil; 3 grandchildren and a brother.

Funeral services for Edith will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday July 30, 2012 from Memorial Presbyterian Church. Rev. Wallace H. Mayton, III will officiate. Family will receive friends at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 N. Saginaw Rd on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
