Earldine (Enszer) Foor

Earldine (Enszer) Foor, age 95 of Midland, passed away September 26, 2025 at MyMichigan Health. She was born in Saginaw on November 23, 1929 to the late Earl and Mabel (Janke) Enszer. On May 18, 1957, she married Neil Foor at First Presbyterian Church in Saginaw. They were married for 57 years and raised three daughters. Earldine was an Assistant Girl Scout Leader and helped coordinate the Chestnut Hill Elementary School lunch program. In her spare time, Earldine loved travelling the US and Canada with her daughters and sister.

In 1960, Neil and Earldine, along with a small group of families, were commissioned by First United Methodist Church to found a new congregation, ultimately becoming charter members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She guided children for 12 years as a Sunday School teacher and sang with the choir for 35 years. Earldine served 4 years as Treasurer on the United Methodist Women's Group, was a member of the Intercessory Prayer Group, the Low Vision Ministry, and coordinated food for funeral luncheons.

She will be remembered by her daughters, Beth (Harry) Smith and Barbara (Scott) Schaffer, both of Midland; grandchildren, Erik (Kristy) Schaffer, Jeffrey (Catherine) Schaffer, Erica (Chris) Blue, and Jordan Smith; great grandchild, Xander Schaffer; sister in-law, Norma Foor, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Earldine was preceded in death by her daughter, Belinda Foor; grandson, Joshua Drake; and siblings, Lila (Norman) Lehnhardt, Eunice (Fred) Pond, Willard (Helen) Enszer, Eileen (Peter) Feigley, Warren (Alberta) Enszer, Marjorie Enszer, and Emma Jean (Dale) Kluck.

The family would like to thank Bickford Senior Living of Midland for their dedication and excellent care these past 3 years, and also MyMichigan Health for their compassionate care during Earldine's final illness.

Earldine's life will be celebrated with a service held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Aldersgate Church. Pastor Michael T. Sawicki will officiate with burial to follow in Midland City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Wilson Miller Funeral Home, and on Tuesday from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Church. Memorial contributions may be offered to Aldersgate Church.
