Douglas Allen Richardson, 60, passed away on September 23, 2025, in Midland, Michigan. He was born on October 28, 1964, in Nashville, Tennessee. Douglas dedicated much of his career to construction, specializing in building bridges.
Douglas was a devoted member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Lodge 612 in West Nashville, Tennessee, reflecting his deep commitment to fraternal values and community service. His leisure time was often spent surrounded by loved ones, enjoying music while grilling, and visiting parks, which were among his favorite activities. His role as a family man was central to his identity, deeply influencing his interactions and the love he shared with those around him.
He is survived by his son, Damian Valentine (Miranda Clayton), and daughters, Tiffany Valentine, Amy (James) Bishop, Destiny (Brenton) Ladd, and Brittany (Michael) Gill. He also leaves behind his sister, Denise Privette, and brother, Donald Richardson. Douglas was a cherished grandfather to Justin Valentine, Jordan Jackson, Chase Jackson, Charlie Tidwell, Emma Tidwell, Kinleigh Ladd, Kensleigh Ladd, and Bradley Gill. Douglas is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Richardson and Mary Sue Snow; his brother, Dennis Richardson; his daughters, Jessica and Christy Richardson; and his granddaughter, Haleigh Peden.
Douglas's life will be remembered by his friendly and caring demeanor, always putting family first and fostering a warm, welcoming environment for all who knew him. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
