Douglas L. Campbell

Douglas L. Campbell, age 66 of Midland died at his residence on Friday, July 8, 2011. The son of the late Allen and Ruth (Curtis) Campbell was born on August 18, 1944 in Midland where he was raised and educated. Doug had worked for Gregory Construction. He married the former Mary Silva in 1992 and she predeceased him in 1993 and he then married Patricia Kempa in Midland and she survives him. Doug volunteered for the Midland F.I.A. as a driver for over twenty years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, Bingo and casino trips. His greatest enjoyment was making people smile and feel special. Doug enjoyed golf, watching sports and playing music.

Doug is survived by his wife Patricia Campbell, son Troy Campbell of Midland and daughter Stacie (Luis) Cartagena of Royal Oak. Doug is also survived by the mother of his children Marcella Zillman Campbell and Shelly (Brian) Kratz, Tanya Allen and Bobbie Jo Little grandchildren; Christopher, Joshua and Gabrielle Cartagena and Rayce & Rhiley Allbee and his sisters; Laurel (Ernest) Pomranky and Alice Pomranky. He was predeceased by a brother Allen Campbell Jr. and a brother-in-law David Pomranky.

Memorial funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from the Midland Missionary Church, 479 S. Eleven Mile Rd, with Reverend Fred Becknell officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 am until time of service. Memorials may be offered to the family. The Wilson MILLER Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
