Dorothy M. Schroeder

Dorothy M. Schroeder, age 91 of Midland, died on Sunday evening October 30, 2016 at her residence. The daughter of the late Edward and Amelia (Henning) Bahlman was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on November 30, 1924 where she was raised and educated. On June 1, 1946 in Mt. Clemens Dorothy married Howard T. Schroeder and after 65 years of marriage he died on October 9, 2011. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, sewing, doing oil painting, gardening, cooking, traveling, and dancing especially polka but most of all spending time with her family. She was involved with the Ladies Aid at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her children, Gary (Shirley) Schroeder of Midland, Jan (Ray) Champion of Imlay City, Michigan; grandchildren, Nathan (Sara) Schroeder, Justin Schroeder, Aaron (Rowena) Champion, Sarah (Clint) Bowman, Lana (Eric) McIntosh; great grandchildren, Kobe, Maria, Aniella, Maybel, Luke, Travis and Will. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
