Dorothy L. Dubois Johnston

Dorothy L. (Brown) DuBois Johnston, age 92 of Midland, died Thursday morning June 10, 2010 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The daughter of the late Frank E. and Mary E. (Shupe) Brown was born on February 3, 1918 in Gratiot, County where she raised and educated. In 1937 Dorothy married William DuBois. He died in 1962. On February 14, 1964 she married William Johnston. He died in 1987. Dorothy enjoyed doing crafts, embroidery, going for car rides and being with people. She was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan.

Surviving are her sons, Jerry O. DuBois fiancé, Janet Huiskens of Sanford, John W. (Sharon) DuBois of Midland; daughter, Janet Donaldson of Bradenton, Fl, Sandra (Rudy) Turk of Hope; step son, Scott (Robin) Johnston of Harrison; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild dear friends, Helen Meir and Lou Stickley. In addition to her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by a son Jack DuBois; daughter, Mary DuBois and sister, Marjorie Eicher.

Funeral and committal services will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 15, 2010 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Rev. John Dick of Midland First Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Dorothy's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Arnold Center or the organization of ones' choice. Personal messages of support may be left for the family at www.wilson-miller.com. The family would like to thank the staff at Cascades Senior Living for the care that was given to Dorothy.
