Dorothy K. Droomer, age 87 of Midland died peacefully, Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Brittany Manor. The daughter of the late Klebear and Katherine (Mattes) Frappart was born February 10, 1926 in Saginaw. Dorothy married Leo O. Droomer on December 30, 1967 in Midland and together they raised eight children. After 44 years of marriage, Leo predeceased his wife on February 2, 2011. Dorothy loved ceramics, porcelain dolls, sewing, bowling and dancing. She was well known for her brown bread baked in tin cans. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, William (Linda) Droomer of Clare, Russell (Gwen) Northrup of Midland, Kenneth (Joyce) Droomer of Midland, Patrick (Constance) Northrup of Saginaw and Craig Northrup of Harlen, Indiana; daughters, Katherine Talbot of Midland and Geriann (Greg) Witbeck of Farwel; -22- grandchildren; -35- great grandchildren; -1- great great grandson; sisters, Alice Cook, Geraldine Brower and Kathleen (Richard) Preston. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Klebear and sisters, Roberta Woods and Marie Holly.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, July 29, 2013 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Gib Giblin of Midland Evangelical Free Church officiating. Private interment will be in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Donations in Dorothy's memory may be offered to the Alzheimer's Association of MidMichigan. Personal messages of condolence to the family may be offered at www.wilson-miller.com
