Donna M. (Wismer) Hollingshead

Donna M. Hollingshead, age 65 of Midland, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 19, 2021 at her residence. The daughter of Georgette M. (Marcy) and the late Roy H. Wismer was born in Midland on February 21, 1956. She was a 1974 graduate of Merrill High School. Donna most recently worked at Owen's Party Store where she made many friends and her customers loved her. She enjoyed gardening and canning, most famous for her asparagus and pickles. She always had a freezer full of popsicles and fudge bars for Gage & Brady who visited often to enjoy one, antique shopping, finding good deals at rummage sales, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to laugh and make others laugh.&

Surviving is her husband of 24 years, Barry Hollingshead; children, Tracy (Charlie) Glynn, Jamie (Chris) Burke, Gary (Suzie) Hollingshead, Becky (Jon) Smith; very special grandchildren, Gage, Brady, Alex, John, and Tehlor; mother, Georgette Wismer; brother, Donald (Bertha) Wismer; sister, Norma (Keith) Goward; sister in-law, Connie Wismer; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Donna was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Wismer; sister-in-law, Julie Wismer; niece, Letha Wismer; and nephew, Tristan Goward.

Funeral services for Donna will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 24, 2021 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Doerner of Messiah Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Poseyville Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
