Donna V. Scoles age 96 of Clare and formerly of Midland died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at her residence. The daughter of the late Marcian E. and Jennie O. (Bond) Saunier was born on July 17, 1918 in Muskegon, MI. On June 6, 1935 she married Bruce Ovaitt and he predeceased her on January 10, 1973. Donna then married Harry Scoles on February 1, 1975 and he predeceased her on February 2, 2004. Donna enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles and gardening. She was an avid golfer and had made a hole in one during her time of playing golf. Traveling was another of her adventures and she had been to all of the states in the U.S. and many parts of Canada and Mexico. Above all of her many pleasures, loving her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild made her the happiest.

Donna is survived by her son Ronald B. Ovaitt of Midland and his Fiancée Vickie Lorenc; daughters Donna S. (Gary) Baker of Jackson, MI, Karen (Douglas) Feaster of Midland, Ann (Howard) Schaeding of Midland and Kerry Ovaitt of Clare, 14 grandchildren,26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by step sons Larry (Deb) Scoles of Georgetown, South Carolina and Glen (Ruth) Scoles of Sterling Heights and sister-in-law Peg Saunier. Donna was predeceased by her first husband, Bruce Ovaitt in 1973 and her second husband, Harry Scoles in 2004. She is also predeceased by great granddaughters, Rachel Zeigler, Isabelle Zeigler, Anna Baker; brothers, Earl H. Saunier, Glen B. Saunier; sisters MaryBelle VanDerwill and Janice M. Helland,

A memorial gathering will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2014 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Shriner's Hospitals for Crippled Children. Personal messages of condolence can be left with www.wilson-miller.com.
