Donna Suzanne (Ovaitt) Baker

Donna Suzanne (Ovaitt) Baker of Vero Beach, Florida, formerly of Jackson and Jonesville, Michigan, passed to be with the Lord on June 20, 2021 following a 9-year battle with Alzheimer's. Her loving daughter and caretaker Lindsay Baker was at her side. "Sue" was born in Bay City, Michigan on June 7, 1936 residing in Midland, Michigan until 1970 before relocating. She was preceded in death by her parents Bruce and Donna Ovaitt and husband of 57 years Gary Baker. Sue loved Jesus and called Him her Savior at the age of 16. She loved singing 4-part harmony, dancing, decorating and gardening along with the beauty and simplicity of God's creation. Sue especially deeply loved and nurtured her family. Surviving are sisters Karen Feaster, Ann (Howard) Schaeding, Kerry Ovaitt, brother Ronald (Vickie) Ovaitt and brother-in-law Gene (Alice) Baker. Also surviving are daughters Lindsay Baker, Janet (Randy) Marsh and son Robert Mark (Tiffany) Baker; grand-children Elisa Baker, Stephanie (William) Hayslett, Katherine (Dustin) Blonde, Erica (Nick) Cooper, Levi Falde, Clay Falde, Silas Falde and Lael Falde; great grand-children Coraline Cooper and Harrison Cooper. A private burial will take place on July 7, 2021 at Midland City Cemetery. Donations are suggested to your local Alzheimer's Association.
