Donald R. "Dick" Crawford, Sr.

Donald R. "Dick" Crawford Sr., age 82 of Sanford, passed away Saturday November 2, 2019 at his residence following a long illness. The son of the late Floyd and Ruby (Gary) Crawford was born April 30, 1937 in Bay City. Dick worked for Meridian Public Schools for many years and enjoyed, fishing, horseshoes, barbequing, and spending time with his loving family.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Dorothy E. Herzberg of whom he married Feb. 11, 1956; children, Debra (Jim) Morley of Turner, MI, Floyd (Vicki) Crawford of CO, Lloyd Crawford of Saginaw, Karen (Tony) Tolles of Midland, Sharon Turner of MN, Sue (Dennis) Osbourn of Bay City, Donald (Theresa) Crawford Jr. of Bay City; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Genow, Shirley Krzysiak, and Virginia Smith. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Pamela Sue Herhold, twin sister, Donna Church.

Funeral services for Dick will be conducted 11:00 am on Wednesday November 6, 2019 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Midland Memorial Gardens. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm and again on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
