Diane M. Wright Thomas, age 65 of Midland died at Stratford Village on Sunday, June 14, 2015. The daughter of Marjorie (Hobson) Cable and the late Donald Cable was born on December 24, 1949 in Ludington. She was raised and educated in Custer and graduated from the Mason County Eastern High School in 1968. She moved to the Midland area in 1969 and raised her family. Diane joined the real estate profession in 1986 and was an active participant until her retirement from Coldwell Banker Professionals in 2013. She actively served on nearly every committee on the Midland Board of Realtors, having twice served as their President. Diane had received her GRI and ABR certifications and was honored by her franchise with both the Diamond and Sterling Society Awards for outstanding service to her clients. Along with having received the Board of Realtors Good Neighbor Award for her participation in numerous community activates over her long real estate career, she was also honored in 2010 as Midland's Realtor of the Year. Her most valued award, however, was being selected by her office peers for the Midland Board of Realtors All Star award given to the individual most admired in their office for their work ethic, customer service and willingness to help others advance their careers. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.

Diane is survived by her mother, Marjorie Cable; husband James Thomas; sons Troy (Kelly) Wright of Bay City, Brian Wright of Gladwin; daughter Wendy Kall of Royal Oak and grandchildren Anthony Kall, Laura Kall and Jonathon Wright. Diane is also survived by brothers Donald Cable of Walhalla, MI, John Cable of Midland; sisters, Pamela (Gregg) Kava of Midland and Lori (Philip) Steinberg of Lakeland, FL.

Funeral service for Diane will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, June 19, 2015 at Messiah Lutheran Church with Chaplain Roger Stauffer officiating. Interment will be in Midland City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and at the church from 10:00 am until time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Midland or to the Messiah Lutheran Church. Personal letters of condolence can be left with www.wilson-miller.com
