Dennis "Denny" Spangler

Dennis Michael "Denny" Spangler, age 52, of Sanford, Michigan, was born on January 11, 1973. He passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2025, due to complications from diabetes, which he had managed since the age of nine.

A graduate of Meridian High School, Denny demonstrated a compassionate heart from a young age. During high school, he cared for his grandmother, showcasing the kindness and dedication that would define his life. Throughout the years, Denny's love and care extended to many, including close friends and family members. He was also a devoted animal lover, fostering several cats and providing them with love and care. His affection for animals was boundless, and he always had a pet by his side. Music was a lifelong passion, and he was an avid record collector, always surrounded by the sounds he loved.

Denny is survived by his father, Dennis Spangler; sister, Kristy Spangler; and nephew, Brandon Spangler, as well as the memories of those he touched. He was also lovingly cared for by his three beloved cats, Theon, Mouse, and Dolly. He was predeceased by his mother, Sharon, who passed away just seven months prior.

A Celebration of Life to honor Denny's memory will be held on October 17, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Floyd Church of God, 1015 W. Chippewa River Rd, Midland, MI 48640. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Miller Funeral Home in Midland, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the Bay City Humane Society.
