Dennis J. Cassaday

Dennis J. Cassaday, age 67 of Hope, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, after a six year valiant fight with Multiple Myeloma on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.

The son of Irma (Parsons) Cassaday and the late James Cassaday was born June 8, 1943 in Midland and was raised and educated in Hope.
Dennis married the former Judy Baibos in Midland on February 17, 1968. He had been employed at Modern Metal Craft, Gladwin Manufacturing, and Tooling Systems in Frankenmuth and had also worked many years in construction.

Dennis was a car enthusiast, loved the outdoors in warm weather, camping, going for drives, dancing, and mostly his family.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 43 years Judy and was the proud father of Veronica (Michael) Hardy currently of Las Vegas and Valerie (Brandon) Richardson of Midland; loving grandfather of, Kaiden and Makenna; mother, Irma Cassaday of Hope; brothers, Ron (Linda) Cassaday of Hope, Randy (Donna) Cassaday of Gladwin and Jim Cassaday and fiancé, Debbie Stephens of Hope; sisters, Deanna Sczepanski and fiancé, Edd Putt of Midland, Gloria (Jim) Wontorcik of Hope, and Sue (Dave) Roberson of Sanford; and father in law, Alfred Baibos of Sanford.

Funeral services for Dennis will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 15, 2011 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Poag of Hope United Methodist Church officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Memorials may be offered to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation, Heartland Hospice or Hope United Methodist Church.
