Dean Noack, age 93 of Midland, Michigan, passed away on July 12, 2025 at Toni and Trish House. He was born on January 20, 1932 to the late Paul and Lena (Skinner) Noack. Dean was a lifelong resident of Midland County. As a youth, he attended the Gordonville School and graduated from Midland High School in 1950. Following graduation, he was hired by the Dow Corning Corporation where he retired in 1989 as a journeyman pipefitter welder.
Dean served two years in the U.S. Infantry during the Korean War. He was honored to be chosen to carry the American Flag in the Color Guard for his unit. He was honorably discharged in 1954 with the rank Sgt. First Class.
On September 18, 1954, he married his childhood sweetheart and dance partner, Mary Ellen King. They were looking forward to their 71st wedding anniversary this year.
Dean was a man of many passions. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, woodworking, metal detecting and crossword puzzles. Also, he enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions play ball as well as his many grandchildren's sports.
Dean's top priority was his family. He was a hard worker and instilled his strong work ethic in his children.
Dean was an active member of Mapleton United Methodist Church before it closed and then attended Aldersgate Church.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Ellen and their children; Kathy (Dave) Dashiell, Kevin (Kari) Noack, Kristy Dice, Kay (Randy) Johnson and Ken (Kara) Noack. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ruth Urbaniak and Hazel LaMee; brother Duane Noack; brother in-law Bruce LaMee; son in-law Audley Dice and step grandson Brock Klouse.
Cremation has taken place and no service is planned. Memorial contributions can be made to: Toni and Trish House or Midland County Senior Services.
