David J. Wheeler

David J. Wheeler, age 50 of Sanford, passed away Sunday August 26, 2018 at MidMichigan Medical Center, Midland. The son of the late Francis L. and Barbara J. (Sheets) Wheeler, Sr. was born in Midland on August 29, 1967. He had been employed as a Home Healthcare worker for many years. David enjoyed going fishing, junking with his friend Louie and being with family and friends.

Surviving are his niece Sierra Wheeler, many aunts and cousins. Close friends, Bill Murringer, Jr., Louie Watts, Brenda Novak and Jeffery "Elvis" Ellsworth, his dog, Diamond and cat Emerson. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Francis "Lee" Wheeler, Jr.

A celebration of David's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. Sunday September 9 from Meridian Church of God. Family will receive guests at the church from 1:30 until the time of service.
