David L. Weimer

September 29, 1953 — February 13, 2020

David left this world unexpectedly in his sleep with his kitty on his arm, on February 13, 2020. "Dave is not hear man". This last year he had numerous medical issues and he thought that he was over the worst of it and was making plans for his music festivals. The world will not be the same without his presence.

He was born on September 29,1953 in Midland, MI to Glenn Franklin Weimer and Ida Lillian (Getchel) Enos. After Glenn passed in 1954, Lillian married Frank N. Enos and together they raised Dave and his sister. Dave graduated from Bullock Creek High School in 1972. He married Susan Timmons (Suzi) on June 7, 1976. Even though they separated in 2008, they continued to be close friends and she took care of him until his death.

Dave spent most of his summers for the last 30 years attending every music festival that he could. He loved music of all kinds. He also liked to go to auctions and flea markets. Dave was a very caring individual and would give you the shirt off his back. He also was brutally honest with people and didn't always know how to express himself. His heart and smile were as big as the sun. He was also the funniest person around and his head was full of useless trivia. He loved his children and grandchildren with all of his big heart. If you were his friend, he loved you.

He is survived by Susan, his children Eileen Weimer of Midland, Scott (Leslie)Weimer of Bay City, Peter Weimer of Fort Wayne, IN and Carol (Brandon) Freemanof Muskegon. Grandchildren Jeremiah Stevens Tanya Weimer, Emileigh Weimer, and Jude Freeman. Sister Marilynn Zerba of Midland; Frank (Carol) Enos, Jr , of Sikeston, MO.Aunts Doris Hanstein of Camden, Delaware, Nancy Bindschatel of Frederic, MI,Linda Getchel of Dundee, MI, Pat Getchel. Many nieces and nephews.Friends Steve, Rod, Duncan, Laurie, Murph, Linda, and Angie. He will also begreatly missed by his cats, Bong, Sweetie, Xena, and Kitten. He was pre-deceased by his father Glenn, mother Lillian, step-father Frank, sister Glenna, brother Fred, brother in laws Glenn Carey, Earl Zerba, Donald Mankey and sister in law Lee Enos.

Per Dave's wishes, he will be cremated with a memorial when the weather gets warmer. He really didn't like the cold. He would like everyone who does to burn one in his honor. Anyone wishing to do memorials, please consider the family. Susan Weimer. 1151 W. Prairie Rd, Midland, MI 48640
