David M. Jegla

David Martin Jegla, age 82 of Midland, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Woodland Hospice Home in Mt. Pleasant. The son of the late Cyril and Rose (Fedewa) Jegla was born February 15, 1939 in Lansing. David loved to fish and hunt, do wood working, and cutting wood, an interest he shared with his grandsons, Abe and Nick. He was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church in Midland and worked as a Machinist/Mechanic with Saginaw Steering Gear.

Surviving are his children, Theresa (Murray) Finney, Audrey Jegla, and David (Sarah) Jegla all of Midland; grandchildren, Tara Jegla, Abe and Nick Sierocki, Norrin, Erin and Dave Jegla, Justin and Jonathon Finney, and Tina (Greg) Mason; 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Tom Jegla, Charlie (JoAnne) Jegla, and Barb Thelen.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his siblings, John Jegla, Bob Jegla, Mary Lou Jegla, and Teresa Thelen.

Services to celebrate David's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with a Sr. Jeanne Wiest, OP from Assumption as celebrant. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be offered to an organization of one's choice.
