David Fales, age 74, succumbing to pancreatic cancer, passed away on Tuesday, February 4. The son of the late Dale and Genevieve Fales was born Sept. 2, 1950. David attended Crane and Bullock Creek schools prior to receiving his B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from Michigan Technological University in 1972. Married to his true love, Linda, from 1972 until her death in 2021.
He began work for The Dow Chemical Company in Bay City, MI, later transferring to Lake Jackson, TX, and returning to Midland in 1984. His career with Dow took him to many countries around the world to deal with contaminated soil and groundwater issues, retiring in 2004.
David enjoyed his solitary fall fishing trips to the UP of Michigan, as well as the challenge of repairing computers. He also enjoyed good wine, food, and chatting with friends and family.
Surviving is his daughter, Jennifer Fales and partner Jake; brother Michael (Karen) Fales; sister, Melody Arndt.
Per the wishes of David, his remains were donated to the University of Michigan for the furthering of medical education and research. There will be no other services. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home
