Darlene N. Parent

Darlene N. Parent, age 78 of Mt. Pleasant went to be with her Lord on Sunday March 16, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City. The daughter of the late George E. and Verona (Hartung) Feaster was born in Midland on June 21, 1935 where she was raised and educated. She worked various jobs over the years, but her favorite was child care for special families, the Bejecks and Laughlins. In November of 1975 Darlene married Kenneth Parent and after 25 years of marriage Kenny died on July 11, 2000. She then found a very special friend Jack Jones of Winn and they have spent the last 11 years together. Darlene never knew a stranger and we are sure that she was greeted at the heavenly gates by many of her family and friends.

Surviving is her son, Jim Morgan of Porter Texas; daughter, Barbara (Chuck) Owen of Freeland; grandchildren, David Owen, Nickolas Morgan, Chuck Owen and fiancé, Chanda Delong; great grandchildren, Zack, Gabby & Hunter Owen.

Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday March 20, 2014 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 N. Saginaw Rd Midland with Pastor Mark Beers of Midland Missionary Church officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the American Heart Association.
