Clara J. Compton

Clara J. Compton, 89, of Midland, passed away peacefully at her home on Jan.16, 2023.& She was born on August 11, 1933 to Charles and Julia (Skorewski) Keidel.

Her husband of 63 years, Ken, and her grandson Heath, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughters, Tyani Cates of Gillette, WY and Kendra (Edward) Heath of Tekonsha, MI; grandsons, Lucas Studle, Pat (Jessie) Studle, Brendan Cates of Gillette and Drew (Michelle) Heath of Kalamazoo; granddaughter, Erin Heath of St. Joseph; great grandsons, Talen and Cohen Studle of Gillette; siblings, Robert (Loretta) Keidel of Midland and Ruth Ann (Ron) Mieske of Vassar.

Clara was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, singing for many years in the choir in addition to decorating the altar as a member of the altar guild. In more recent years she helped with the church newsletter and prayer chain, enjoying the social interaction both provided.

She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, doing puzzles, listening to and singing Gospel music, reading the Bible and watching various Christian broadcast shows.

Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. at St. john's Lutheran Church in Midland, MI. The service will follow at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. John's Lutheran Church or the Humane Society. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
