Christa A. Lane passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025 at the age of 90 with her daughter Monica, friend Vicki, and her kitty Butzel by her side. She was born in Mannheim, Germany on November 20, 1934 to the late Franz Barth and Emilie Villhauer. It was here that she met her former husband, Allan Lee Lane. Together they came to the USA in late 1954, where their daughter Monica was born in April 1955.
After she and Allan parted ways, she met her companion, Cecil "Tommy" Thompson. Tommy and Christa loved dancing, which they did often. Tommy, having been a p-47 pilot during World War 2, had many p-47 reunions which Christa really enjoyed attending with him.
Christa loved gardening and watching the birds that she faithfully fed. She loved sewing, crocheting, doing her crafts, and enjoyed selling her creations at local craft fairs and did so for over 20 years. In addition to dancing, Christa enjoyed polka music, Elvis Presley and watching Lawrence Welk reruns. She was an avid sports fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Pistons.
She is survived by her loyal and loving kitty companion, Butzel; daughter, Monica Lane (David Munoz); grandkids, Kent and Ella Lane; siblings, Roland Barth (Patty Graver) and Sonya Holdsworth (Peter); devoted caretakers, Vicki Scott and Debbie Dinkel, along with several nieces and nephews.
Christa was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Lane; companion, Cecil "Tommy" Thompson; former husband, Allan Lane; and her parents.
