Chris E. Rivett

Chris E. Rivett, 69, of Midland, passed away Sunday morning, November 21, 2021, at MidMichigan Medical Center, Midland. The son of the late Dennis and Betty Lou (Rappleyea) Rivett, Chris was born in Saginaw on April 18, 1952, and grew up in St. Charles and later Sanford, where he attended Meridian High School and worked in his family's bakery. Chris was an ironworker with Ironworkers Local 25 for over 30 years until retiring in 2004. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, reloading ammo, watching movies, working on cars, and doing welding projects. Chris was a member of Ironworkers Local 25 Retirees Club.

Surviving is his wife, the former Jacqueline Draves; children, Christopher (Amanda) Rivett of Swartz Creek, Scott (Amy) Rivett of Midland, Nicole (Jason) Howeson of Linwood, North Carolina; grandchildren, Jack, Brennan, and Chase; brother, David Rivett of Grand Blanc; sister, Louanne Reiber of Merrill, and a large extended family. In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Rivett.

Per the wishes of Chris, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
