Charlotte M. Starin, age 85 of Midland, was carried by the wings of angels to her heavenly home on Friday April 15, 2016 from the Medilodge of Midland. The daughter of the late Mike and Bertha McMullen (Ruby) was born in Richmond, IN on May 3, 1930. Charlotte lived most of her life in Lansing Michigan. Upon her retirement she moved to Midland to be close to her grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Scripture Lutheran Church and was very devoted and loving to her late husband Donald L. Starin Sr. Charlotte worked for many companies around the Lansing and Holt areas. Finally retiring from Spartan Plastics in Holt Michigan. When younger she enjoyed, gardening, camping, traveling, fishing and cooking. She was truly loving to her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Donald (Deniece) Starin Jr.; daughter, Doris M. Starin of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Kurtis (Laura) Starin, Donald L. Starin III, Amy (Dirk) LaMee, Dawn (Scott) Syrowik, Ronald Spitzley, Dona Spitzley, and Stephanie Spitzley. She will also be missed by many great-grandchildren; her brother, Howard (Sharron) Ruby of St. Johns, MI; sisters, Jeannie Stamper of Greensfork IN, Joe (Ralph) Kenworthy of Greensfork, IN, Sue Charles of Hagerstown, IN, Pat (Don) Thaws of Lexington Ky and sister-in-law, Margery McMullen. In addition to her parents Charlotte was preceded in death by her bothers, Reggie McMullen of Hagerstown, In, Claude McMullen of Orlando, FL and sister, Norma Walker of Huntington, WV.
Per the wishes Charlotte cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be conducted 12 noon Saturday April 23, 2016, at Holy Scripture Lutheran Church with The Rev. Paul Schneider officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be offered to Holy Scripture Lutheran Church. Arrangements are by the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, where personal messages of support may be left for the family at www.wilson-miller.com.
