Charles R. "Chuck" Taylor, 71, of Mt. Pleasant died Monday, May 15, 2017 at McLaren Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.
He was born April 20, 1946 to the late Clinton and Olive (Huff) Taylor in Fenton, MI where he was raised and educated. Chuck served with the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was employed at General Motors for many years, retiring in 1984. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing and family time.
He is survived by his son Clinton (Kristen) Taylor; daughter Chris (Lloyd Starks) Charville; grandchildren Jeffrey (Dannielle Liphard) Charville, Joshua Starks, Kami (John) Fraizer, Kellen Petty; brothers and sisters Marilyn (Russell) Blossom, Carolyn (Robert) Houston, Bonnie (Gary) Stroup, Ronnie (Paula) Taylor, Darlene (Clay) Mittlieder, Daryl (Marilyn) Taylor, Kathy (Jim) Eaton, Clifford Taylor; many nieces and nephews and special friend Louis "Red" McNeil. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Jeffrey Lee Taylor; sister, Jackie Hawes; brothers, Gary Taylor, Howard Taylor; and niece Stacy Eaton.
Funeral services for Chuck will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 n. Saginaw Rd Midland with his brother, Pastor Daryl Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
