Charles J. "Mick" Trader, age 78 of Midland went to his heavenly home on January 12, 2012. The son of the late Herbert and Anna (Harvey) Trader was born in Curran, Michigan on August 22, 1933. Charles married his High School sweetheart, Carol Mast on January 12, 1952 and spent 60 happy years together. They came to Midland in 1952 and Mick went to work for the City of Midland for 13 years. He then went to work for Harrison Piping Supply where he retired in 1993 after 22 years of service. Charles thoroughly enjoyed the 12 winters spent in New Port Richey, Florida taking in the sights that Florida has to offer. He enjoyed playing the guitar, going to Gospel Concerts, being outdoors working in his yard and doing things with his family. He was a member of Midland Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife Carol, sons, Roger (Laura) Trader of Auburn, James (Deirdre) Trader of Midland; grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Paul, Aimee, Daniel, Mark, Jason and Timmy; 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil and Kenneth Trader.
Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Monday January 16, 2012 from Midland Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Payne will officiate. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 N. Saginaw Rd on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 12 noon until the time of service. Memorials maybe offered to Midland Baptist Church, Youth Haven Ranch and Saginaw Rescue Mission. Personal messages of condolence may be offered to the family at www.wilson-miller.com
