Charles K. (Chuck) McAnallen, 86, of Midland, went to be with his Lord and family Thursday morning, September 18, 2018. The son of the late Charles and Marion McAnallen was born on October 5, 1931 in St. Louis, MI., but resided in Midland most of his life. Chuck was a retired chemist who worked at Dow Chemical for 30+ years. He proudly served his country in the Army from 1950 to 1952. He enjoyed his family, their cats, his Eagle Ridge church family, rock hounding, mining, traveling, and playing cards.
He is survived by three sisters, Shirley Bork, Pat Thomas, Lois Pomranky; nieces and nephews, Sharon (Stephen) Rhodes, Beth (Paul) Lange, Douglas Johnson, David (Patty) Johnson, Brenda (friend Tom Onley) Johnson, Bill Sebastian, Cindy Thibault, Scott Bork, and Troy Pomranky.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Regina (Jeanne) McAnallen, his daughters Kelli Dawson RN, Lori Rhead RN; sister, Bette McIntire and brother in-law Bill McIntire, sister, Ruth Johnson, brother in-law Douglas Johnson, and nephew Chad Pomranky.
The family wishes to extended their sincere gratitude for the compassionate care Chuck received during his illness from all his doctors, the wonderful ICU nurses, and staff of MidMichigan Medical Center.
Chuck will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place and private internment of his ashes will be in Midland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society for Midland County PO Box 1034 Midland, Michigan 48641. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
