Charles Frank Bradfield, age 84, of Traverse City and formerly of Auburn, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, at Auburn Fields Assisted Living. He was born on May 17, 1942, in Bay City, Michigan to the late Frank Bradfield and Lydia Koons.
Charles was of the Catholic faith, attending St. Anthony Catholic Church in Auburn and St. Francis of Assisi in Traverse City. Charles found joy in hunting, fishing, golfing, playing cards, bowling, and shuffleboard. Charles also enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his garage. There wasn’t a lawn chair he couldn’t fix. These activities brought happiness and connection with others. Charles enriched his community by his membership with the Auburn Jaycees, where he had served as a past president.
Charles’ memory will be lovingly cherished by his children, David (Angie) Bradfield, Dawn (Jerry) Owens, and Dyann DeLaat; his eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Wayne (Lynette) Bradfield, Mike Bradfield. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Bradfield, his parents; his son, Ricky Bradfield; his grandson, Chase Bradfield; and his siblings Kathy Bradfield, Francis Bradfield, Suzie (Bradfield) Engleman.
In accordance with Charles’ wishes, he will be cremated, and no services will be held. The Bradfield family is being cared for by Wilson Miller Funeral Home of Midland, Michigan.
