Celia V. Woolman, age 94 of Sanford, died Tuesday October 16, 2012 at MidMichigan Medical Center. She took great pleasure being with children whether they were her own, her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, their offspring or someone visiting. She had been an active citizen in Sanford in numerous activities, including serving as an Election Officer. Celia had been actively involved as a member of the Sanford United Methodist Church for many years and was currently a member of First United Methodist Church in Midland. Mrs. Woolman is survived by her son, Thomas (Shirley) Woolman of Arizona; daughters, Bonnie Ahearn of Sanford and Julie Woolman of Grand Junction, Colorado; grandchildren, Alex (Sharon) Woolman, Kip Woolman, Eileen Wagner and Patrick (DeAnna) Ahearn; great grandchildren, Samantha, Jonathon and Tyler Ahearn, Matthew, Brooke, and Courtney Wagner and Chelsea Woolman; great great grandchildren, Brailey, Brenton and Ryland; and sister, Lillian Currie of Freemont, California. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, John, Harold and Raymond Heminger; and sisters, Ruth Wilt, Harriette Baker, and Dorothea Heminger. A celebration of Celia's life will take place at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Charles Keyworth of First United Methodist Church officiating. Family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the time of service. Donations in Mrs. Woolman's memory may be offered to First United Methodist Church.
