Carolyn G. Reading

Carolyn G. Reading, age 74 of Midland, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018. The daughter of the late Paul and Harriet (Knack) Boulis was born in Gladwin on September 17, 1943. She was raised and educated in Freeland and then in 1962, graduated from Arthur Hill High School. Carolyn had been employed with The Dow Chemical Co until her retirement in 2008 after 11 years of service. She was a member of the Christian Celebration Center and enjoyed doing God's work. Carolyn also worked over 20 years as a bartender at Stardust Lanes.

She will be missed by her children, Shari (Scott) Ellis of Auburn and Brenda (Patrick) Demo of Midland; 6 grandchildren Patrick (Joyce) Demo, Jr., Ryan (Traci) Deisler, Jessica (Kyle) Benedict, Ashley Demo fiancé Zachery Ott, Michelle Demo, Jackson Ellis; 5 great grandchildren, Andrea Urch, Autumn Urch, Carson Deisler, Brooklyn Deisler, Ariella Benedict; brother, Arthur (Eunice) Boulis; and sister, Linda (Richard) Fortier; niece and nephews.

Per Carolyn's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday August 17, 2018 from the Christian Celebration Center, Midland. Family will receive guests at the church on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund.
