Carolyn Ilene Peterson

Carolyn Ilene Peterson, age 85 of Midland, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021 with her family by her side at Candlestone Assisted Living. Carolyn was born in Midland on Nov. 11, 1935 to the late Russell and Mildred (Yoder) Moore. Carolyn worked for 27 years with the Midland Co. School Employees Credit Union, retiring as the Manager. She was a member of both the First United Methodist Church of Midland and the Sears United Methodist Church in Sears, MI.

Carolyn was devoted to her family and loved each and every one of them dearly. She and Bob enjoyed spending time at the Sears family property and watching the wildlife. Carolyn will always be remembered for her positive attitude and listening to others.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; children, Becky Haywood of Grand Rapids and Tom (Laura) Peterson of Midland; grandchildren, Daniel, Philip, Stephanie (Josh), Eric; great grandson, Jonah; and sister, Bonnie (Don) Eash.

Visitation for Carolyn will be held on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 from 3-7 pm at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Face coverings are required if able and social distancing guidelines will be followed. Funeral services will be private with burial in Midland City Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Carolyn's name may be offered to First United Methodist Church Senior Youth Mission at 315 W.
