Born on May 11, 1943, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Charles and Margaret (Winters) Frahm.  Carey lived a life filled with dedication to her family, education, faith, and a love for exploration.

Carey devoted 31+ years to Bay City Public Schools, leaving a lasting impact on students and colleagues alike. Her passion for learning extended beyond the classroom, as she found joy in reading and frequenting the library.

A longtime member of First United Methodist Church, Carey was deeply involved in their faith community, participating in Monday Morning Bible Study and Friday Bible Study most recently.  Carey was also a past member of the Midland 100 Club. Connections were important to Carey, as reflected with her Bay City GNO Club (Girls Night Out), where she built cherished friendships.

Carey had a deep appreciation for nature and beauty, particularly through her love of plants and flowers. She also had an adventurous spirit, traveling extensively with Bruce and friends on Mystery Trips ~ both across the United States and internationally ~ always embracing the opportunity to "live like a local."
