Carole S. Scheffler

Carole S. (Juntunen) Scheffler, age 72 of Midland died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw. The daughter of the late Tauno and Marjorie (Foster) Juntunen was born on July 8, 1938 in Detroit and was raised and educated in Oak Park, MI. Carole moved to Midland in 1962 and worked for the Dow Chemical Co. as a statistical secretary, prior to starting her family and becoming a homemaker. On July 3, 1965 she married Norman Scheffler and he predeceased her November 28, 2010. Carole was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a former Eastern Star. She was well known as being an accomplished seamstress.

Carole is survived by her son, David (Helen) Scheffler of Chicago; daughter, Sigrid (Stephen) Messana of Saginaw; grandchildren, Wynne, Joseph, Miles, Kathryn; brother, John (Kathy) Juntunen of Novi, MI.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 5:00 PM Friday June 24, 2011 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with the Reverend Pamela Buchholz officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until time of service on Friday. Personal messages of support may be left for the family at www.wilson-miller.com
