Carol A Collins, aged 82, passed away late Sunday evening, July 3, 2022 after a long battle with dementia. The daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Bush) Courier, she was born on February 18, 1940 in Pinconning, MI.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, euchre and playing bingo. She was a kind and generous person, who volunteered her entire life. First at her children's schools and after school events, later at the King's Daughters Home of Midland, the Literacy Council of Bay County and any neighbor who needed a trip to the doctors or help around the house. She had to ability to meet someone she knew no matter how far she traveled and then talk to them for 15 minutes. Carol is survived by her husband Richard Collins of Auburn and her children Rodney Collins of Midland, Rochelle Collins of Auburn and the daughter of her heart, Jamie (Mike) Champlin of Hope, IN; grandsons Jacob (Kaitlyn) Champlin of Apex, NC and Daniel Champlin of Zionsville, IN; sister Sandy (Bill) Anschutz of Pinconning and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Louis Courier.& The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Niche Aging Center for all their care. Funeral services for Carol will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Wilson Miller Funeral Home. Fr. Marc Hopps will officiate with private burial to be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Pinconning. Visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service.
