Carlton E. Crosby

Carlton E. "J." Crosby Jr., age 47 of Midland died on Monday September 22, 2014. The son of the late Carlton E. and Mona D. (Rutledge) Crosby Sr. was born on January 2, 1967 in Midland, moving to Louisiana where he was raised and educated. While in Louisiana he was a self-employed masseuse and then moved to San Antonio, Texas after Hurricane Katrina. J was then employed by the Light House of San Antonio where he supervised over 40 employees, inspecting military equipment, while having the handicap of being legally blind and hard of hearing. He moved to Midland in 2012 to make his home with his brother Chad.

Carlton is survived by his children Allison Waterson, Jada R. Crosby, Amber Crosby and twins Allen M. and Summer R. Crosby all of San Antonio, Texas and two grandchildren Ivan & Troy. J is also survived by his brothers Chad Crosby of Midland, Craig Crosby of Ashley and step sisters Jacqueline & Jill.

A Celebration of J's Life will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, September 26, 2014 from the Lighthouse Body of Christ Church, 693 W. Isabella Rd Midland with Pastor Dan Youmans presiding. Please be prepared to join with the family in sharing memories. A potluck dinner will follow. (Feel free to bring a dish to pass.)In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered directly to the family.
