Bruno A. Kosiara, age 81 of Midland died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the University of Michigan Hospitals.
The son of the late Peter and Mary (Slupski) Kosiara was born June 27, 1933 in Gaylord where he was raised and educated. Bruno had served with the U.S. Navy. In 1967 he married Jean Molloseau. She predeceased him in 1985. He married Patricia Sperow in Flint on August 23, 1986.
Bruno started working for General Motors in 1951, retiring in 1992 after 36 ½ years of service. He lived in Flint while working in Grand Blanc and has resided in Midland for the past 10 years.
He enjoyed yard work, tending to flower gardens and planting trees. He was a woodworker, specializing in bird houses and wishing wells.
Bruno was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Burton and attended Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Patricia; daughter Tammy (Roy) Severn of Mt. Morris; step son Gary (Janice) Cookingham of Las Vegas; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother John (Carolyn) Kosiara of Lapeer; sister, Patricia (Dennis) Warner of Nashville, Michigan; sister in law, Georgann Lucas.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was predeceased by his brother Victor Kosiara.
Funeral and committal services for Mr. Kosiara will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Monday, March 16, 2015 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will be in Midland City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Monday from noon until the time of service. Donations in Brono's memory may be offered to Midland County Cancer Services.
