Brian H. Keyes

Brian H. Keyes, age 57 of Chicago, passed away May 30, 2023 at his home. He was born to David H. Keyes and Ellen "Kay" (Spitnale) Keyes in Midland on September 10, 1965. Brian earned his Doctor of Psychology in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Not only was formal education important to Brian, he had a love for learning anything, especially other culture and traditions.

One very important quality of Brian's was that he loved to watch others succeed. He would do anything to help a person so they could build a good life. When someone had a problem in life, they could rely on Brian to help them come up with a solution.

For himself, Brian loved to take vacations and had a fascination for architecture. He could often be found going for walks or trying new foods with his friends. Asian cuisine was his favorite and he always had his black tea with him. Nature was calming for Brian and he loved his flowers, especially tulips.

Brian loved his family so much and is survived by his mother, Ellen "Kay" Keyes; sisters, Trina (Douglas) Oskvarek and Vicki (Eric) Wegner; nieces, Stephanie (Kyle) Sebald and their son Mason, Jenna Oskvarek (Ryan Shauger); and nephew, Shane Oskvarek. Brian will also be missed by many friends especially those that we call his "Chicago Family" of Manny, Morgan and Sergio. He was preceded in death by his father, David Keyes.

A celebration of Brian's life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service.
