Bonnie Jean McDonald, 94 of Midland, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Bickford Assisted Living of Midland. She was born on February 25, 1930, in Saginaw to the late Francis and Edith (Smith) Madden.
Bonnie enjoyed her career at The Dow Chemical Company for several years and became close friends with her co-workers and others she encountered throughout the years. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her delicious meals, and especially her famous, "Grandma Bonnie Fudge". Along with cooking, Bonnie prided herself in keeping her home neat and tidy. Her family members were often recipients of many thoughtful gifts due to her love of the Shopping Channels.
The holidays were very special to Bonnie, and she always had beautiful decorations for each occasion, especially Christmas. Bonnie's family was her pride and joy and she cherished every moment that she shared with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as her many close friends. She was a member of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church.
Left to cherish Bonnie's memory are her sons, Jeffrey McDonald and Randy (Pat) McDonald, her 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Dale "Keith" McDonald, son, Timothy McDonald, and her brother and sister in-law, Gilbert and Bonnie Madden.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Bickford Assisted Living, Senior Services, and The Care Team Hospice who gave Bonnie compassion and care during her final days.
Per Bonnie's wishes, cremation has taken place. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, November 30, 2024 at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 207 Ashman St. Midland, MI 48640.
